Harku Karjäär’s new Scania 8×4 truck has been built specifically for its operating environment. Pro Lift designed and manufactured a custom truck body solution that takes into account demanding quarry conditions, intensive use and the customer’s actual working processes.
The truck has been in daily operation since spring, already proving the suitability of the solution in real working conditions.
A solution designed around the work the truck needs to perform
At the heart of Pro Lift’s custom-built solution on the Scania 8×4 chassis is a rear-tipping body. As the truck operates within a closed quarry site, the rear tailgate and cover are removed during on-site operation.
Another important feature is the cab protection structure, designed with the specific risks of quarry operations in mind and primarily intended to protect the vehicle occupants.
A good solution starts with understanding the customer’s work
Designing and building a truck for demanding applications involves much more than selecting suitable components. The complete solution must account for the truck chassis, operating loads, working environment, safety requirements and the customer’s daily operations.
With more than 20 years of experience in custom truck design and construction, Pro Lift can deliver solutions for applications where standard configurations are not sufficient.
The Harku Karjäär project was developed in close cooperation with the customer and Scania, combining the capabilities of the base vehicle, Pro Lift’s technical expertise and Harku Karjäär’s practical operating experience.
Project management and effective cooperation between all parties are just as important as the technical solution itself. Clearly defined requirements, efficient communication and strong partnerships help deliver a truck that performs reliably in real working conditions, not just on paper.
