2024. In 2024, the Estonian Rescue Board added five new Scania trucks to its fleet, all equipped with superstructures installed by Pro Lift. The new vehicles are primarily designed as support trucks, being indispensable assets for both rescue operations and logistics centres
New: added photos of support trucks in action during rescue work.
The trucks provide a wide range of support functions, including container transport, lifting service with practical attachments (incl. pump and various grapples), and pulling out vehicles or objects needed in emergencies.
The vehicles are deployed in Rakvere, Tartu, Haapsalu, Lilleküla and at the Rescue Board logistics centre.
State-of-the-art technology and functionality – versatile support vehicles for rescue work
We installed the following superstructure on the trucks at Pro Lift OÜ:
- HMF cranes, operated with Scanreco radio control for precise and comfortable handling.
- AJK hooklift with tilting arm for moving and placing containers.
- For rescue tasks, the trucks are fitted with a Rotzler side-mounted winch with a 40-metre cable.
- Additional equipment, such as an Intermercado grapple and DOA SP45 mud pump, adds even more functions.
- Illuminated toolboxes and open mesh cages provide sufficient space for storing necessary tools and accessories and make them convenient to use.
- Work lights and beacons enable rescue operations to be carried out with good visibility and safety at all times of the day and in all seasons.
- Extendable ALMIC bumper and underrun protection improve safety.
- Components from our long-term partners – such as the Padoan oil tank and Hydro Leduc hydraulic components – further increase the reliability and durability of the trucks in intensive rescue work.
The Rescue Board’s new trucks are an excellent example of cooperation between different partners, resulting in the work equipment needed by rescuers.
